Tonight at 7pm masked mercenaries backed up by free state riot police used power tools and violence to evict a group of housing activists occupying a vacant building in Dublin.
The Take Back the City campaign took over the building to highlight property hoarding and other tactics used by slum landlords to profit from the current Irish housing crisis manafuctered by the Vulture Banks and Leinster House.
Five activists have been arrested with one injured. Free state police also used violent action and pepper spray to disperse a peaceful protest by concerned citizens outside the building.
